Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL), a Vedanta group company, reported a four percent increase in mined metal output to 276,000 tonnes for the third quarter of the current fiscal year, driven by higher ore production. Saleable metal output also rose by four percent, with refined zinc at 221,000 tonnes and refined lead at 49,000 tonnes. Silver production saw a marginal one percent decline to 158 metric tonnes, while wind power generation increased by five percent.
