Chinese smartphone brand Realme is being integrated back into Oppo as a sub-brand, a move confirmed by the company to pool resources and cut costs amid industry pressures. Both brands operate under BBK Electronics. Realme, initially launched as an Oppo sub-brand in 2018 before becoming independent, will now function more closely with Oppo, similar to OnePlus. This integration aims to enhance operational efficiency and streamline R&D, marketing, and supply chain efforts while maintaining distinct product identities.
