The Mumbai Consumer Commission has ordered a Thane-based developer, Wings Lifespaces Marketing Services Private Limited, to refund Rs 7,92,300 to a couple for an unreasonable delay in registering a sale agreement for a plot booked in 2017. The commission also awarded Rs 50,000 for mental agony and Rs 10,000 for litigation costs. The developers cited technical issues and land abstract delays, but the commission found them guilty of unfair trade practices for failing to execute the agreement and process the refund.
