CPCRI Develops Four New Coconut-Based Value-Added Products

The Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI) in Kasaragod, Kerala, has developed four new coconut-based value-added products: Kalpa kulfi, Kalpa wafer cones, Kalpa velvet (dark chocolate), and Kalpa Qbitz (nata de coco). These products, formulated with coconut milk, coconut sugar, and other coconut derivatives, aim to promote value addition to coconut ingredients. Kalpa kulfi is a non-dairy, vegan frozen dessert, while Kalpa wafer cones are nutrient-rich, made with composite flour and coconut milk. The institute will officially release these products during its foundation day celebration.
