
The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has approved the development of a new Greenfield airport in Dagadarthi, Nellore district, which will be the state's eighth airport. The project aims to enhance aviation and industrial infrastructure, leveraging its strategic location near national highways, ports, and industrial clusters to boost manufacturing, exports, and logistics. The airport, planned in phases, will initially handle 1.4 million passengers annually and includes provisions for future cargo facilities, serving as a catalyst for regional economic growth.
