IndiGo has received its first Airbus A321 XLR aircraft, marking a significant step in its international expansion strategy. This long-range narrow-body jet, capable of flying up to 8,700 km, will initially be deployed on new non-stop routes to Athens from Delhi and Mumbai. Subsequent aircraft will serve existing routes like Istanbul and Bali, with plans to expand to new destinations in Europe and East Asia. The A321 XLR offers enhanced fuel efficiency and aims to redefine long-haul travel while maintaining IndiGo's cost-conscious model.
