The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is developing an AI-powered tool to assess the cyber safety preparedness of regulated entities. SEBI Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey announced the initiative, which aims to analyze cyber audit reports, identify control gaps, and classify entities by risk exposure. Additionally, a working group will create a 5-10 year technology roadmap for market infrastructure institutions. Pandey emphasized the need for continuous investment in technology, risk management, and cyber resilience to ensure innovation strengthens market integrity.
