LG Electronics' new manufacturing unit in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, is slated to begin operations by the end of 2026, with phased expansion continuing through 2029. The 5,000-crore facility, spread over 247 acres, will produce refrigerators, air-conditioners, and washing machines. Land was handed over in May 2025, and the project is expected to boost the state's manufacturing ecosystem and create thousands of jobs.
