Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated Ashok Leyland's new electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing plant in Lucknow. The facility, spread over 70 acres, is designed to produce up to 5,000 EVs annually in phases, with an initial investment of ₹252 crore. Officials highlighted the plant's role in boosting employment, promoting green mobility, and reflecting Uttar Pradesh's transformation into an attractive investment destination with improved law and order and infrastructure.
