A significant gas leak and subsequent fire occurred at an Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) well in Irusumanda village, Andhra Pradesh's Konaseema district. The incident happened during repair work on the Mori-5 well, operated by contractor Deep Industries Ltd. The leak caused a blowout, releasing gas and crude oil that ignited, creating a large blaze and thick smoke. As a precaution, nearby villagers were evacuated, and authorities initiated firefighting and containment efforts. No casualties have been reported.
