Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has completed major electrification works in its Tinsukia Division, electrifying 96.43% of its total route kilometers. This milestone covers 4,170.19 RKM out of 4,324.15 RKM, with recent inspections confirming the readiness of newly electrified sections for commercial operations. The achievement aims to boost operational efficiency, reduce fossil fuel reliance and carbon emissions, and improve train operations and sustainability in the region.
