Eisler Capital, a multistrategy hedge fund firm, has formally closed down after experiencing significant losses. The firm reported a 7.35% decline in December, bringing its total loss for the year to 14.3%. Most of these losses were attributed to pass-through expenses, such as salary and bonus costs. The closure highlights the high costs associated with building, operating, and unwinding such funds, especially with a shrinking asset base.
