The Union government has given in-principle approval for a ₹3,000 crore package to develop domestic power equipment testing technology, according to sources. This initiative aims to reduce India's reliance on foreign countries, particularly the Netherlands, for testing equipment. Initial projects under this plan are expected to be established in Noida and Haryana.
