Air India has received its first custom-made Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner since its privatization in January 2022. The aircraft, delivered on January 7, is the first 'line fit' Dreamliner for the airline in over eight years, with the last one acquired in October 2017 under government ownership. This new wide-body jet features a three-class configuration and is part of Air India's significant fleet expansion orders placed after the Tata Group acquisition. The airline group currently operates over 300 aircraft.
