The Arunachal Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI) has raised concerns about the increasing influx of Bangladeshi products into Indian markets, particularly impacting local MSMEs and traders in Arunachal Pradesh. ACCI president Tarh Nachung stated that higher local operational costs make it difficult to compete with lower-priced imports, threatening local employment and traditional trades. The chamber is urging authorities to regulate foreign brand market access, monitor quality and pricing, and promote local businesses, citing a negative impact on the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and 'Vocal for Local' initiatives.
