
The Vande Bharat Sleeper Express is set to launch next week, featuring only confirmed tickets and no RAC or waitlist options. Fares will be higher than existing premium trains, with a minimum equivalent to a 400-kilometer journey. The inaugural route will connect Howrah and Guwahati, aiming to reduce travel time by about three hours. The train will consist of 16 coaches and operate overnight, serving districts in West Bengal and Assam.
