
Himachal Pradesh's shawl industry has achieved a Guinness World Record for the largest display of hand-woven pieces at a three-day MSME Fest. Chief Minister Sukhu highlighted the global recognition for the state's Khadi handloom products, crafted by self-help groups and entrepreneurs from various districts. These shawls, featuring intricate patterns and traditional weaving techniques, some taking up to a year to create, received handloom certifications and GI tagging. The festival aims to connect artisans with national and international buyers.
