Global air passenger demand grew by 5.7% year-on-year in November 2025, reaching a record load factor of 83.7%, according to the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Capacity increased by 5.4%, with African and Asia-Pacific regions showing the strongest international demand growth. IATA's Director General highlighted the need for increased aircraft production to address supply chain constraints and a backlog of orders.
