FICCI has urged the government to establish a Mega Electronics Industrial Park for the upcoming Union Budget 2026-27, aiming to boost domestic manufacturing and self-reliance. The proposal includes co-locating Original Equipment Manufacturers, Electronics Manufacturing Services, and component suppliers to build scale and deepen the value chain, drawing inspiration from international models. FICCI also called for rationalizing tariffs and HS Codes for Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs), identified as a critical bottleneck, to support inclusive growth and enhance global competitiveness in the electronics sector.
