The 594-km Ganga Expressway, set to be the country's longest, is nearing completion and is expected to open next month. Successful FASTag toll system trials indicate readiness for contactless toll collection. The expressway will connect 12 districts and features numerous bridges, interchanges, and underpasses. An agreement with Swiss institutions aims to enhance commuter safety using AI and sensor-based monitoring systems.
