
Mumbai Metro Line 3, also known as the Aqua Line, has seen its ridership more than double since the opening of its final phase between Worli and Cuffe Parade on October 9. Passenger numbers increased from 19.7 lakh in September to 46.56 lakh in December. Average weekday ridership rose from 75,052 to 1.48 lakh. The line's popularity is concentrated at interchange stations like Marol Naka and CSMT, which connect with other metro and suburban railway lines.
