India's first commercial-scale tropical rainbow trout farm, utilizing Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) technology, is set to inaugurate in Hyderabad, Telangana. The facility, established by Smart Green Aquaculture Limited, demonstrates that high-value cold-water species can be farmed year-round in tropical climates, challenging previous assumptions about geographical constraints. The project also aims to serve as a training platform for youth in advanced aquaculture techniques. The inauguration is scheduled for January 5, with Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh presiding.
