Indian lenders have sanctioned Rs 3,361.83 crore to 774 exporters under the new Credit Guarantee Scheme for Exporters (CGSE) within its first month of operation. Launched on December 1, 2025, the Rs 20,000-crore scheme offers 100% credit guarantee coverage by NCGTC to encourage financial institutions to extend additional credit to exporters, particularly MSMEs, facing global trade challenges. The scheme is valid until March 31, 2026, or until the guarantee limit is reached.
