Indian Railways is transitioning passengers from the UTS mobile app to its new unified platform, RailOne, to streamline digital ticketing. The UTS app has permanently stopped issuing and renewing season passes, with its overall use expected to diminish. RailOne aims to be a comprehensive 'super app' for booking both reserved and unreserved tickets, including local season passes, under a single login. To encourage adoption, a 3% discount on unreserved tickets booked via RailOne using digital payments is offered from January 14 to July 14.
