IndiGo has lost its appeal against penalties imposed by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on two senior executives. The DGCA Appellate Authority upheld a Rs 20 lakh fine each for the Director Flight Operations and Director Training, citing alleged failure to use qualified simulators for pilot training at Category C airports. IndiGo had contested the September penalty, stating pilots need extra training for such airports. The airline's parent company, InterGlobe Aviation, confirmed the appeal dismissal.
