The Himachal Pradesh Horticultural Produce Marketing and Processing Corporation (HPMC) has revised its policy, now requiring revenue papers only from apple growers who sold over 100 bags of produce under the Market Intervention Scheme (MIS). This change follows grower objections, who argued their Udyan cards already contained land details. The HPMC's initial decision aimed to verify if apple sales were proportionate to land owned, but the revised order offers relief to small and marginal farmers.
