The Director General of the Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, inaugurated Garuda Aerospace's new Drone Battery Manufacturing Facility in Chennai. The facility aims to bolster India's indigenous drone manufacturing ecosystem and reduce import dependence. Kidwai also opened an Academic Block at the company's pilot training organization, expected to increase capacity for certified drone pilots.
