RBI Deputy Governor T Rabi Sankar urged banks to adopt transparent pricing for products and services to foster customer trust and loyalty. Speaking at the Indian Banking Technology Conference, he emphasized the need for a "zero-fraud" environment, noting a decline in payment fraud rates, particularly with UPI at 0.68 per lakh transactions. Sankar cautioned that unfair pricing could lead customers to seek alternatives, stressing the importance of technology in achieving pricing efficiency and maintaining customer confidence in the evolving banking landscape.
