India's Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) has launched an anti-dumping investigation into nylon chips and granules imported from China and Russia. A domestic manufacturer, Gujarat Polyfilms, alleged that these imports are being dumped, causing injury to the local industry. The DGTR found preliminary evidence of dumping and will recommend anti-dumping duties if material injury is confirmed. Such duties, imposed by the finance ministry, aim to ensure fair trade practices under WTO rules.
