Eternal, the parent company of Zomato and Blinkit, has received a Goods and Services Tax (GST) demand order totaling Rs 3.7 crore, including interest and penalty, for the period April 2019 to March 2020. The order was issued by the Additional Commissioner of State Tax (Appeals) in West Bengal concerning a short payment of output tax. Eternal stated it believes it has a strong case and intends to file an appeal against the order.
