This certification includes Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) and satellite-based Required Navigation Performance (RNP) procedures, enhancing safety and reliability during low visibility and adverse weather. The airport, operated by IRB Infrastructure, aims to boost airline confidence, support traffic growth, and promote economic and tourism development in the Konkan region. Passenger movements have increased, leading to an expansion of aircraft parking capacity.
