Afcons Infrastructure Faces Contract Termination Dispute Over Gabon Road Project

Afcons Infrastructure, part of the Shapoorji Pallonji group, faces contract termination by French company SOCIÉTÉ AUTOROUTIÈRE DU GABON (SAG) over a Rs 1,200 crore road project in Gabon. SAG invoked bonds and issued a termination notice citing incomplete work, while Afcons claims about 93% completion, attributing delays partly to pending land handover. Afcons has initiated arbitration proceedings to resolve the dispute.
