
Central Railway reported a significant increase in passenger traffic and earnings for the first nine months of FY 2025-26. Passenger earnings rose over 5% to Rs 5,881.08 crore, with suburban services contributing Rs 757.12 crore, up nearly 5%. Overall passenger volume increased by over 2% to 1,227 million, driven by a rise in both suburban and non-suburban travelers. December 2025 alone saw a 3% increase in passenger numbers and a nearly 20% jump in revenue compared to the previous year.
