The Khurda Road Division of East Coast Railway has achieved record freight handling in the first three quarters of the 2025-26 fiscal year, loading 130.36 million tonnes. This represents a 9% increase from the previous year. Across East Coast Railway, freight loading reached 209.97 million tonnes, an 11.3% growth. The division also saw increased wagon utilization, with an average of 7,068 wagons per day during this period.
