Apollo Hospitals Enterprise is restructuring to spin off its pharmacy and digital health businesses, a move described by Managing Director Suneeta Reddy as a board-driven decision focused on shareholder value and strategic focus. Reddy emphasized that the separation is due to the distinct economics and growth drivers of the hospital versus the retail and digital health sectors. She also clarified that the decision was not influenced by family dynamics, stating she works closely with her sister, Shobana Kamineni, who will chair the spun-off entity. The new entity, Apollo HealthCo, is slated for listing by FY27.
