Industry and trade bodies in Belagavi have appealed to the Union government and the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to prevent a reduction in flights from the local airport. Citing strong passenger demand and commercial viability, they urged the restoration of 13 UDAN routes sanctioned in 2019, which previously connected Belagavi to 15 cities. Airport officials assured cooperation in maintaining and reviving the airport's connectivity and stature.
