The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has issued a new circular regarding paperless onboarding for the National Pension System (NPS). This update allows applicants to authenticate NPS account opening forms using e-signature or a One-Time Password (OTP) sent to their mobile number. This measure aims to streamline the process for opening NPS accounts, with PFRDA advising Central Recordkeeping Agencies and Points of Presence to update their systems accordingly.
