The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) will increase the fee for ordering an Aadhaar PVC card from Rs 50 to Rs 75, effective January 1, 2026. This is the first price revision since the service's introduction in 2020. The UIDAI cited rising operational costs for materials, printing, and secure delivery as the reason for the hike. The durable, pocket-sized PVC card holds the same legal validity as other Aadhaar formats and can be ordered via the myAadhaar portal or app.
