India's antitrust regulator, the Competition Commission of India (CCI), is investigating IndiGo for potential unfair business practices following massive flight cancellations in December. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has requested average fare data from IndiGo, Air India, SpiceJet, and Akasa for December 1-15 to aid the CCI's assessment of whether IndiGo abused its dominant market position. IndiGo cancelled approximately 4,500 flights due to pilot shortages, leading to passenger disruptions and temporary government-imposed airfare caps.
