Ashok Leyland inaugurated its first integrated electric bus manufacturing facility in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, with an initial investment of ₹252 crore and a planned total expenditure of ₹1,000 crore. The plant, built on 70 acres, has a current capacity of 2,500 units annually, expandable to 5,000. Dignitaries including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the inauguration, highlighting the state's improved industrial environment, law and order, and commitment to green mobility and job creation.
