A 64-year-old ex-serviceman, N Venkata Ramana, died by suicide on a railway track in Andhra Pradesh. Police suspect financial stress and debts, exacerbated by his supermarket business and a daughter's legal troubles, contributed to his actions. Ramana, who previously served in the Army and worked at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, lay in front of a train at Duvvada railway station. An investigation and post-mortem examination are underway.
