
Four police personnel from Kerala's Kurupampady station have been suspended and are under investigation for allegedly accepting a bribe of over Rs 6 lakh to help accused in a Gujarat cyber fraud case evade action. A Gujarat police team had sought assistance from Kerala Police for tracing the accused. Officials allege that both Kerala and Gujarat police personnel conspired, with Rs 60,000 allegedly given to Gujarat officials and the remainder kept by Kerala officers. The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) has launched a parallel probe.
