A fire at a lithium-ion cell production unit in Andheri East, Mumbai, resulted in the deaths of two workers, identified as Bhagvan Pitale, 30, and Sumant Jadhav, 28. The blaze erupted on the third floor of the Narayan Plaza building, trapping the victims who suffered severe smoke inhalation and burn injuries. Most other workers escaped the incident, which was brought under control within an hour. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
