The body of 32-year-old Jayanta Ruidas was discovered floating in a pond in the Shyamla area of West Burdwan district on Friday. Local residents reported Ruidas had been missing since the previous evening. Police suspect he may have accidentally slipped into the deep pond during the night. A Quick Response Team recovered the body, which was sent for a post-mortem examination.
