A 15-year-old boy was kidnapped and assaulted in Ludhiana by a gang demanding a 20,000 ransom. The assailants filmed the assault and contacted the boy's father. The boy was later released unharmed. Police arrested one suspect, Bindu, who allegedly has a history of criminal activity and was involved in a previous fatal clash. The motive may have been a mistaken identity related to drug peddling. Raids are ongoing for eight other accomplices.
