Mumbai police have arrested Josna Bibi, a key suspect in a cross-border counterfeit currency smuggling ring originating from Bangladesh. Bibi, allegedly involved for two years, is suspected of circulating Rs12-14 lakh in fake Rs500 notes. Her arrest follows that of Amruddin Sheikh in Mumbai, who was found with Rs72,000 in counterfeit currency. Investigations suggest Bibi supplied fake notes, exchanging Rs1 lakh in counterfeit for Rs60,000 genuine currency, and police are working to uncover further network connections.
