A former employee of Singaporean luxury watch retailer Cortina Watch, Soh Jian Kun, has pleaded guilty to cheating customers out of nearly $500,000. The 33-year-old exploited an internal staff purchase scheme to service significant credit card debt accumulated from luxury spending. He convinced 14 victims he could secure hard-to-obtain watches, forging documents to maintain the deception. Soh's sentencing is scheduled for February, with 13 additional charges to be considered.
