Ghaziabad recorded its highest road fatalities in three years in 2025, with 400 deaths and 849 injuries from 1,097 accidents. This marks an increase from previous years, with fatalities rising from 363 in 2022 to 400 in 2025. Traffic police attribute the surge to increased vehicle numbers and have identified 22 accident hotspots and three critical corridors for road engineering improvements and dedicated team interventions to enhance safety.
