Two oil tanker drivers, Chhotu and Shri Bhagwan, died of asphyxiation in Machhiwara, Ludhiana. They had lit a coal brazier inside their locked tanker cabin to stay warm from the cold on Thursday night. The fumes from the burning coal are suspected to have caused suffocation. The men, who had arrived on January 5, were found unconscious by factory staff on Friday morning. Police are investigating the incident, and a forensic team has examined the scene. Both victims were from Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, with one being the sole breadwinner for his family.
