
Punjab Police have arrested two shooters and five other individuals in connection with the January 4 murder of AAP sarpanch Jarmal Singh in Amritsar. The shooters were apprehended in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, while the other accused were arrested in Punjab. Authorities identified a Portugal-based gangster, Prabh Dasuwal, as the alleged mastermind, citing personal enmity as a motive. The sarpanch was shot dead at a wedding ceremony. The incident has led to opposition criticism regarding law and order in Punjab.
